I would put Dark Knight higher on this list, probably because you don't even need to be a fan of the genre to appreciate the brilliance of this movie. As you mentioned, Heath Ledger's performance here is truly something to behold.

I didn't put it higher because the other characters weren't on the same level. Bale was the best when he had the seat, but I'm rather partial to Affleck. He's at least as good of a Batman, and a much better Bruce Wayne.

For as much as I like Affleck and Cavill, BvS sat lower for not really developing the villains at all.

Interesting choices.

I’d do blank man for number on.

Robin Hood men in tights for number 2

Etc

Haven't seen Blankman and had to google it. Could be good.

For me to call something a superhero movie, there needs to be some kind of moral correlation, exaggerated through the superhero lens. I didn't really see that in Robin Hood men in tights, as good of a movie as it was otherwise.

I wouldn't exclude comedy though. Kick-Ass was a fantastic movie that maybe belongs on this list. It mocked Batman's traditional tactics the same way BvS did subtly.

Def kick ass. Kick ass 2 was shit though.

Robin Hood veritably had morals. He had to get the sheriff of rotting ham. Lol.

I just don’t really like any superhero movies these days.

I think I am just being contrarian.
