Shame this person had to go through all that. What does it say about a society that rewards this kind of service with this kind of toxic, identity politics crap. That being said, man/woman up and make your own decisions. You only have yourself to blame.

It doesn't just happen because it's like a cult, but also society approves and promotes this cult.
