Did you take this photo? As the only similar image I have found, is reported to have been made in Blender.

Strange, I don't normally see the crater shadows.

except for those on the far side of the moon. Really strange.

Don't you?

Do are you observing just with the naked eye?

except for those on the far side of the moon.

How do you observe the far side of the moon?

If only you were allowed to click on links. Then you wouldn't have to ask these Questions.

Wow. Britannica and an image both say whether or not you are looking with your naked eye or binocs or a telescope huh?

You're full of some incredible information there questionable.

Quite literally incredible.

You need for me to tell you If I have seen the moon before in real life, and or if I have viewed the images I have linked you to? And you really need for me to give you this information before you can proceed?

OK. If you insist. The answer is yes.

There's a metric fuckton of images of the moon in which you can see crater shadows.

When I look at the moon through Binocs I see them. Through my little telescope they're the most salient feature of the moon. Here's one with crater shadows that I took holding my phone up to the eyepiece the other night.

So I wonder what you mean by "I don't normally see them". Is there some subtext I'm missing?

I did not take the photo, but I did provide a link in my first comment.
