Did you eat the grains straight up?

yes i did :-)

i also made all kinds of ferments. water kefir, kombucha, apple cider (i still have over ten gallons), fruit wines, sourdough, beer and also just lots and lots of fermenting for whiskey, rum and brandy. i never made sauerkraut because its so cheap and available in my area
