"Groups" of human beings get quite dumb at a threshold. I believe "group"-thinking doesn't even exist.

Human groups get quite foolish at a threshold i believe to be five to seven and then their "thinking ability" exponentially declines with size. At seven it seems to be not more than primate-class behaviour and even dolphins can manage this better in bigger sized groups.

It's the same with "meetings" or "presentations" in companies. Basically these are used to present either made-up or makebelieve facts to the audience they gotta devour and ideally implement in their everyday work. A real debate isn't usually what the the author is looking for.

Half of everyone is stupider than average and most of the rest are really close to average.

So you are the stochastics friend i missed my whole life because obviously you neither get mean nor average. I'm happy this is you because I feel like I know you.

However you cut it, with precision divisions or moot semantics, the premise remains mean-ingful.
