Moderation is great. Moderation kept reddit in check for many years. Now reddit is going too far in moderation and turning into a caricature of their former self. This seems like a very hard problem to solve, but at least with saidit moderation you can see the people who were silenced and come to your own conclusions about the mods an their motivations. On reddit this is made opaque and whenever you push back against the mods they ban you and mute you from complaining to them in modmail. Why are they even able to do that? I feel like it should be an admin only function to mute the mod channel. Of course then you get the problem of bad faith admins but at that point it becomes clear that it's time to jump ship.
