Lots of words but I didn't see any actual proof. Because oh right there hasn't been a single worthwhile study that supports masking.

To be fair I didn't read the whole article, I couldn't. If there's some actual proof buried in there then my bad. Somehow I don't think so though. Seriously, the author said so much without actually saying anything of substance. Though if you were already pro-mask then the article would really appeal to your confirmation bias, and perhaps that's all it was ever intended to do.

  1. Wearing masks forever is dumb

  2. There are plenty of studies that support wearing masks. Stop reading fake news and read scientific papers. Go on PubMed and look for articles there. Read the articles with CONTEXT. Don't jump to conclusions based on one paper. After you go over about 50 papers, you get a general idea of what circumstances masks are effective/ineffective for.

There are studies that track particles through fluorescence. Studies with dummies. Studies using real-life scenarios. Regional studies examining patterns across countries. Studies tracking the movements of people in society. Put it all together.

Well I've read some studies, certain not all or even the majority of them but enough I think to dismiss the notion that the kinds of masks people generally wear offer any significant protection. I also read a few that 'clearly' showed the benefits of masks but that were later dismissed for this reason or that, though by then popular media had already championed the initial, faulty, findings and the damage was done.

I would be happy to read good studies that show that a cloth mask or similar protects against CoViD or similar but the best of my knowledge they don't exist. Feel free to prove me wrong, but throwing out the phrase "fake news" and then hinting at a body of exotic studies that when taken together tell a completely different story is just more obfuscation.
