We've seen what juries are capable of! A lot depends on the lawyers involved too, and the judge's instructions to the jury. You could get an activist judge, no?

True. And apparently, it's been upped to second degree murder AND manslaughter. Maybe the prosecutors are just covering their bases. Dunno how all that works in Minneapolis.
