The FTC outlines a down-played version of what they've known for at least 10 years. Now that this report highlights comparatively benign actions compared to today's ISP-to-government partnerships and their democracy destroying collusions.

The government made these a monopoly with constant regulatory captures, like the totally botched Trojan horse they pretended was Net Neutrality. Then the government gave the ISPs tons of public tax money. Now the government buys all this data that ISPs illegally stolen while abusing their customers with the FTC's implied consent.

Now that the tax payers paid for massive cell and internet infrastructure upgrade, does the public own any of them, or are these tools used to abuse the public, subvert democracy, manipulate elections, and steal/spy on Americans, which Americans paid for, belong to ISPs?

Maybe we should take our towers back.
