If I got to youtube.com, my browser, Brave, does not detect any cookies or fingerprinters, even though I have those blocked by default. Why is this? Isn’t youtube a major tracking site?

How ironic you worry about your privacy when using YouTube on Brave, a browser based on Chromium which is made by Google.
Google benefits when users use their platform even if it's not Chrome.
