I hate DeSantis so much. Literally the biggest zionist in America.

And the biggest fascist. I hope he draws more attention to the US support of fascist Israel and its destructive impact on Florida and the rest of the US.

So I get hating DeSantis.

I get hating Israel. (I had family in Palestine, so I REALLY get hating Israel.)

I just really don't get why y'all hate Jews so much in general. Are you guys all schizophrenic or what? Because half the stuff you all think are clearly half truths. You take something rational, then just connect it with something that is completely inconsistent with the last thing. It's exactly what my schizophrenic ex-wife used to do.

Take this video for example. Clearly DeSantis is on the defensive here because people think the right is anti-semetic, because of people like you. So he's over compensating to make clear he's not, because he's running an election and being called an anti-semetic will lose you the election. Most left wing people will think he's full of shit here. But from the comments you guys are doing the opposite and assuming this means he is literally a closet Jew.

That's so stupid I just don't get it.

He's literally bragging about how much of a Zionist he is and has the legislative history to back it up. Seems pretty straightforward.

Signing the Florida bill in Israel was doubling down. he's quadrupling down.

I think the word Zionist is a bit disingenuous, but I agree with the rest. Zionist has a pretty specific meaning and at no point did I ever hear him say anything along the lines of "the Jews have a divine right to the nation of Israel around the holy site of Jerusalem" or anything like that.

I hate when the left calls everything right wing people do a dog whistle. Maybe we shouldn't be doing the same thing. Stop putting words in people's mouths.

Sorry, announcing pro-Jew US laws in Israel makes you a Zionist. He's clearly a Zionist.

Fair enough. As far as I was aware a Zionist is either

    1. A person who advocates specifically for the creation and protection of a Jewish nation in and around the city of Jerusalem.

    2. A specific branch of Christianity based on the teachings of John Alexander Dowie in Chicago or Petrus Louis Le Roux in South Africa.

    3. A branch of LDS in the U.S.

Usually it refers to the first one unless you are in South Africa or Utah.

For the first definition one can be Pro-Jewish without being Pro-Isreal. You must be Pro-Isreal or for an entity similar to Isreal in order to be considered a Zionist. To call this Zionist is a pretty big stretch.

Alright. You win. That would definitely be enough to qualify him as a Zionist.

Not everyone here hates Jews, I don't, but I am sick and tired of this "anti-semitism" crap being used to silence and cancel people. On my Twitter feed I just saw a post from a woman complaining that some TRA had the nerve to call her, a Jewish woman, a Nazi. Fuck that entitlement. She wasn't affected personally by the Holocaust, she has no extra right to be offended. It's just as bad to use Nazi as a slur against her as anyone else.

I think we all need to agree to get the fuck over WW2 already.

I strongly agree there. I am especially tired of the whole "you can't compare x to y" first of all we had an entire 4 years of people comparing the right to Nazis and Trump to Hitler and they were fine, but Gina Carano says that the way people treat Republicans and especially January 6th participants is like how the Jews were treated in Nazi Germany. Which is actually an apt analogy, but even if it wasn't a person should still be able to try to draw the comparison. Now she is canceled for life. That's BS.

The Holocaust happened almost a century ago now. Practically everyone involved is now dead. It should be entering the level of obscurity of historical events like the French Revolution or Vlad the Impaler by now, but somehow we are getting MORE sensitive. How?

My only caveat to that is I do feel to an extent the people here on this website lend some credibility and merit to the anti-anti-semetism witch hunt. They are the best weapons against their own cause because their existence validates the feelings of the far left and cancel culture.

So I just wanna know why they are doing what they are doing. I also think it's worth discussion. I am against bigotry and hatred, it's just that in my opinion cancel culture and the outrage of the far left counts as bigotry itself.

I disagree there, I think this site is the perfect example of how disparate groups of people can have whatever opinions they want, no matter how offensive or hateful they may be considered to others, and yet... everyone gets along for the most part. There's a lot less hate here than on Reddit

Oh I definitely agree with you more than not.

But I am not talking about how WE feel or how this site feels but people in general. Unfortunately we live in a world of populism due to the mistaken belief that we live in a simple democracy rather than a practical democracy or the republic we actually live in. This is something I actually blame the right for more than the left, though the left is who weaponized it.

Think about what has happened for example with the red pill movement/MRAs. Or what has happened even with the January 6th protest. The left is especially good with identity politics IN populism. They are able to pick out one or two really bad examples and paint the picture that that is the whole. Ironically it's basically the exact same thing bigots do like the anti-semites in here. They look at people like Weinstien or Netanyahu and act like they are representative of Jews on the whole. Once that sets in confirmation bias makes it all seem like that. Once the reputation is established, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy because everyone who resents that title begins leaving.

Again I love this site and i think it's magical we don't ban these opinions. I LOVE getting a bit of really off the wall takes on things, even if I find them personally offensive. That's what the best forums like 4-chan, Fark, Albino Blacksheep, Something Awful and even reddit used to be about. It encourages true diversity not the one dimensional diversity based on race or sexuality or something simple like that the left wants.

I just watched this same thing happen to the Proud Boys in 2016. There was nothing racist about them at all. They just overlapped with some people who happened to be racist and the media ran with it. By 2017 they were basically a racist organization and even the founder, comedian Gavin McGinnes for whom they were initially a fan club ended up pulling put over it. Now they are considered a terrorist organization and can't accomplish anything.

this is just a video maybe you're antisemitic to assume people are against it
