I know a guy who used to work with Pat Benatar before she became famous. He was one of many who encouraged her to pursue a singing career. I thought he said they worked at a military base in Maryland, as her husband at the time was in the Army, but I just looked up her bio and it said they were at Fort Lee (now Fort Gregg-Adams) near Richmond, Virginia. I can't remember what they did together, but I think it may have been commercials and voice-over work, as the guy I know is in theater.
