Worse than that, Bob, worse than that.

The entire system is built so a few "great men" (read the historical theory of great men who decide what a society does) can slowly sieze the property of everyone else. While the slaves value monopoly money, the great men seize assets. Even in school when teachers ask you to share your dream they mean to share the career you want. You are expected to dream about working for the rest of your life. And you work, not just to survive, but to also buy junk you do not need to give more economic power to these great men.

All politicians do is serve these great men while pretending to serve the slaves.

yes. absolutely correct.

also the average intellect is captured (in its entirety) by theatre 🎭. theatre that casts the illusion that party a feels 1 way and party b feels another way regarding issues that in the long term have already been resolved by the ‘great men’ as you so astutely refer to them as. the great men have a long game. they have enough vision to realize that sudden implementation of policy will encounter far more resistance than a gradual one. the theatre 🎭 is just there to keep the average intellect in perpetual check.
