I saw the retard on CNN try to guilt him into changing his answer (she was so fucking terrible as a presenter), and as much as I'm not a huge Trump fan, I thought his answer was spot on. I want this thing to stop and I don't necessarily care who wins. I also think that if Trump had been in office, Putin would not have invaded.

Ukraine is not the important thing on the minds of Americans presently. It is the migrant crisis. That is where Trump scored points. Biden is old and foolish and because of his immigration policy could propel Trump back into office. The Democrats must choose a candidate who is young to run for president. Unfortunately, I can't think of anyone. Prince Harry would be good but he's not a US citizen and I don't know his views. If his views are moderate and he becomes a US citizen, he would be a potent candidate. He is young, a combat veteran, articulate, charismatic, and a family man.

Based solely on this segment, Trump's response is the most reasonable statement made by a US politician in recent memory. And that woman is the very definition of a total fucking Biatch. Nobody wants to hear her opinion. She is worse even than Don Lemon. Zelensky's ethnicity represents 1% of the Ukrainian populous and he is there simply as a puppet to help transfer $100+ billion from US taxpayers to some oligarchs' pockets. [I haven't edited this but it is a good example of how I and others are manipulated by media. She really produced a visceral reaction in me and that's what CNN is paying her to do. Apologies for the profanity.]

She wanted her gotcha moment and she failed.

Of course he would end the war in 24 hours, he was Putin's doormat when Russia invaded in 2014.

How? He wasn't even in office? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Trump fan, but I'm also not a fan of Trump Derangement Syndrome either; it blinds reason. I can see an argument for the US placating Putin and not adding more countries to NATO, which he obviously took issue with. Why were we poking that bear? What did it get us? And why are we pushing a conflict between Russia and Ukraine instead of trying to end it peacefully?

Sorry about that I was using the old math ;)

Resolved peacefully was an option back when Russia first invaded, perhaps. I'd use the analogy of home invaders terrorizing my family. If I have a means to defend myself it's not ending peacefully, it's ending violently with the home invaders being expelled with great prejudice.

Oh I agree Putin is a criminal for invading Ukraine, but what lead up to it? Would Trump in office have avoided that? Trump made it clear during his presidency that he was not a fan of NATO. I'm not either and I think adding countries to this organization is what lead to Putin (or at least and in his mind, gave him the excuse) to invade. All he wanted was assurances that NATO would stop expanding. Wouldn't everyone been better off placating his little tantrum than pushing him to drastic measures?

Personally I think Trump in office makes it more likely that countries like Russia will commit aggressive acts because Trump makes it clear he will not act as a check against such behavior. Just my opinion.

Idk if I believe that. That sounds like Democratic propaganda to me. And what has Biden done? Fork over a lot of money and logistical support to date, but hasn't committed any troops...yet. Seems like this administration is dying to get us embroiled in a conflict. Either Ukraine or Taiwan and I want neither. If part of Trump's campaign is keeping us out of those conflicts, it's something I will have to consider.

Idk if I believe that.

yea, I mean its just my opinion. But we will see. We will certainly see. What is that old proverb, may you live in interesting times? haha

LOL, agreed. I always took "interesting" in that saying to mean "good" and "exciting." More fool me.
