Then why'd he vote for the $40 billion Ukraine aid bill, much of which will go straight to the military industrial complex?

'Cause he's on the take like everybody else in congress. In other news, Nancy Pelosi was barred from Holy Communion b/c of her support for abortion. I believe that is the first time she and I ever agreed on anything.

Cheaper than letting Russia win and then having WW3

[–]Drewski 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

If we're trying to avoid WW3 (as we absolutely should!), the United States should be promoting diplomacy between Ukraine and Russia instead of provoking Putin with NATO expansionism and missile systems on his doorstep and fighting a proxy war with Russia using Ukraine as cannon fodder.

Diplomacy with a madman seems difficult. Putin needs to go.

  1. Russia's already "won" in the sense that they're well on their way to annexing the areas populated by ethnic Russias, who we've been trying to exterminate.
  2. Giving Ukraine $40 billion won't actually go to Ukraine, much less "help the US be safer" or "stop WW3". Most of the money is graft going to US weapons manufacturers, and the actual weapons are flooding the black market or just getting destroyed by Russia as soon as they make it to Ukraine.

It's not the Cold War any longer. This is no longer a US vs USSR fight. This is now a DC-swamp vs the rest of the world fight.

Because it's all a gimmick he does to get votes. He doesn't actually give a shit about the people who vote for him. He only cares about the people who own him.

That is funny coming from a man who has more than than 20 times the median networth of US citizens.

And what's the multiplier for billionaires, hmm?

Acting like millionaires are the problem, smh

My family comes from a country that was literally destroyed (it no longer exists) because of socialism. I have no room specifics for rich people that promote the sharing of wealth.

If you don't understand the vast gulf between a million and a billion, no one can help you.

[–]Anman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

The difference is nothing. You can not move a thing with a billion dollars. Pay a man one thousand or one billion, he can still only kill one man at a time. Pay him one thousand or a one billion and he can still only tell one lie on TV at a time.

What are you talking about

[–]Anman 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

In the world of finance, a billion dollars is a big thing on paper. Because that is all finance is, numbers on paper. In the real world, it does nothing. Without people, nothing can be achieved. Try to use billions to get something done on its own and you will achieve nothing. It is not money that grands wealth power, is the people who want it. And you need a lot of people who want it, to effectively gain impact with large amounts of wealth. This is why the government, media and "influencers" push people into ideologies of their choosing. A person has no issue shooting at unarmed people for money, if they believe in the employers vision. I wouldn't suck a mans dick for a billion dollars. But another weak degenerate man would. As such, the power is not in the billions, it in the weakness of a man.

Oh so you're talking some Utopian Vision thing. Got it.

It is not money that grands wealth power, is the people who want it. And you need a lot of people who want it, to effectively gain impact with large amounts of wealth.

Well seeing as money buys food, shelter, clothing, and iphones; it's safe to say we've met your conditions, in the real world.

Will a few dollars worth of time and seed in garden vs a billion dollars of food, you can still only eat so much.

What Im trying to get across, is that a billion dollars is a lot of money, specially compared to a million, but in the real world it's has no power. Money is nothing. The greatest influence and change occurs with just people. And when you want to spend great amounts of money, it can not be done without willing people. EG, billions of Venezuela currency will get you nothing as people are not interested. French revolutions change the entire nation, via poor people. Man wont suck a dick for all the money in the world because his morals are more important. If you want to build a large building, you need the people to do it. If you want to destroy another nation, you need the people to do it.

And what's the fastest, easiest way to convince people to do things you want, hmm? 🤔

I'll care what the millionaire communist has to say when he sells his extra houses and gives the proceeds to the government.

You know what the difference between a million dollars and a billion dollars is?

Roughly a billion dollars.

Give me a break, Bernie Panders. You had the country by the balls in 2015 and bent the knee.

Bernie's a Democratic loyalist.

I wonder if he's controlled opposition to give the ppl who WANT to be progressive a cause to believe in. Instead, him and the AOC group have led progressives astray, becoming SJW's, proposing ridiculous policies and they still parrot/support certain geopolitical narratives.

Real independents who aren't a part of the system are usually squashed and can never get enough support to become anything substantial.

[–]BravoVictor 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Since Sanders just voted for the $40 billion giveaway to the war industry, that's pretty solid proof he's just another rank-and-file corporate Democrat, and the "socialist" thing was just a gimmick he used to get votes.

To be fair, that's why most politicians claim to be socialists. The richest people in "socialist" countries are usually the politicians.

[–]BravoVictor 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

He just voted to give $40 billion to MIC, along with every other Democrat...

Fuck Bernie Sanders, hypocritical piece of shit.
