I think the elites use both sides to push polarizing talking points to keep people divided based on identity so that they do not organize based on class, which would truly threaten the elite.

Examples: Florida Bill Banning Sexual Curriculums for K-3rd Grade

Republicans: "They want to groom our kids and rape them!" - Hyperbole

Dems: "They are bigots and wont let us say gay!" - Hyperbole, not what the bill says, I think Kindergarten is a little young for that talk too, this position is not necessarily based on bigotry of any sort. It is about the the correct age for teaching sex stuff in school. Referring to it as the "Dont Say Gay Bill" was intentionally misleading and inflammatory in the same way as the groomer characterizations are ("The bigots are coming for your kids!" "The Pedos are coming for your kids!")

Again, it is in the interest of the 1% to keep both sides fighting over asinine shit like this that riles up both sides, and makes them hate each other. Nothing can get done in congress, nothing changes, and they have distracted from the real problem of the 1% are raping and pillaging us.

Both sides are up in arms over a culture war, and the real issues of economic inequality and environmental degradation dont get addressed. This is by design. Any identity politics that isnt class politics is a tool of the elite, regardless of which side they are on.
