Avoid seeking catharsis in dreams of vanquishing the enemy

That’s profound. Is that paraphrasing something?

Also couldn’t agree more.

Thanks! It was the best way I could put it without sounding accusatory or using fedposty words. I really want people to get this. It's really bad, the situation. They're trying to drive us to acts of despair. I get why people indulge in these kinds of thoughts. But, like a drug, the dopamine rush of imagining yourself taking to the ramparts and finishing the fight in the street fades away and you're clocking in at work the next day feeling more powerless than before. What doesn't make you feel that way is talking with others, finding allies, growing community. It's especially difficult for people who are white and middleclass, who don't know who among them can be trusted. It's a minefield. Undertaking that one tactic which is available to us: reaching out to the people in our lives, is exhilarating when it succeeds.

This hits home.

Stick around. I like your commentary so far, and I'm hoping this community grows.

Likewise!

It's really not profound at all.

More prosaic than profound, but you agree with the point?

For instance, that embarassing thing with John Mark/Curt Doolittle basically exposed how fake and untenable a militia resistance is. Without real, nation-spanning communities of solidarity, your shootout with the feds is not political. It's a tidy law enforcement action to mop up an uppity gang. To pretend otherwise results in sad spectacles like we saw when a woman took Doolittle's microphone from him and he literally pissed himself and began stammering about the superior size of black phalluses. The 3%ers are keeping their powder dry. People may speculate that this is boomer comfort and cowardice, but I'm looking at the political situation and chalking it up to wisdom. The repression is only now directly affecting 20% of the population and remains in the realm of propaganda and information control. It's not time.
