I don't get why using a teleprompter is such a big deal. Just more shit throwing to see what sticks.

Well it was supposed to be an "interview" with actual questions. It was all scripted. The debate is going to be hilarious.

That's how interviews are. I was watching a Netflix documentary yesterday about social media and they're interviewing these guys and the person off camera says something and the interview subject responds and it's supposed to seem like it's all happening spontaneously but it's obviously not if you think about it. Just like real life you rarely get a seamless witty and spontaneous repertoire. If it's going on widespread media you don't want the conversation to bomb and it would fairly often if these things weren't scripted. I mean, think about it. There'd be some question they'd have to think about, or not know, or maybe they'd misspeak.

You just aren't supposed to see the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.

You ever see Gilmore Girls? I fucking hate that show but I've seen every one of the old ones because the wife loved it. Watching it you might be tempted to assume there are people who have that effortless witty back and forth banter. But really few people are capable of that most of the time, and nobody is all the time. It's not realistic, but doing a scripted dialogue like that gives the impression they are gifted conversationalists. And that's meant to impress. Somewhere in the back of your head you're thinking, how do they do that? Well, they had script writers write a script first. That's how they do that.

Because they lied about it. This irritates some people because it's such a stupid, little thing to lie about it.

Which of the boys is the one who made a bundle on the Uranium One deal?

The two party duopoly selected Biden, so Trump would win again in 2020.

I have no illusions about the actual nature of US "democracy".

Having said this, the video is so bad that it is probably intentional.
Biden even forgot what he had been discussing in his confusion (his family).
This would certainly be anticipated, and planned for accordingly.

These presidential campaigns are multi-multi-multi-million dollar operations.
I seriously doubt the campaign would insert trivial distractions like this by accident.
Biden isn't going to be allowed to improvise (with props, etc.). Each interview would be rehearsed (by someone if not Biden).
They know about filming reflections, etc.

This is probably intentional, because the Democrats hate Trump (in the most literal sense).
I doubt many Republicans actually hate Biden (it's pity), but they can help but notice he's fully senile.

The democratic party had numerous other " party candidates" to select.

It has to be deliberate.

I didn't check to see if it was a live stream.

If it was not live, then it's safe to assume it was deliberate. They could have edited it out.

We should also assume that the Democratic voters will never see this video on the news that they watch.
