    By the looks the latest entries in her Wikipedia page, the woman that certainly created that phony account seems like she's about at the end of her rope:

    McLaughlin currently works at MeTooSTEM, the non-profit organisation that she founded in order to advise scientists who are victims of sexual harassment.[5] Seven leaders left the #MeTooSTEM advocacy group in 2019 after complaining about the abrasive style of and lack of transparency by McLaughlin.[14] Two more members in leadership positions of the organisation resigned in 2020 after alleging that they were "bullied" by McLaughlin.[15]

    On August 3, 2020, McLaughlin's Twitter account was suspended.[16]

    I skimmed though the article as it was quite long. What I don't get is how no one checked at ASU for this professor?

    How can you have a Twitter account with any sort of following and not have people looking you up?

    How many Native American Anthropology professor are there at ASU?

    It seems like this hoax was going on for years...
