I don't think it's relevant to his murder. I also don't think racism was involved in his murder whatsoever. That's the part I don't understand. What does racism have to do with this besides get a shit ton of people riled up? Stop focusing on race so much and start focusing on actions and behavior. Intent. It's very odd to me that race matters so much to people.

Most people don't even know what he was arrested or apprehended for. Should his criminal record be outright ignored by the mainstream media? What was his job in Minneapolis? Is it okay to investigate coordinated orchestrated media events like this. Jussie Smollett have any updates on his case?

Is this true: https://files.catbox.moe/438dbg.jpeg

Doesn't have anything to do with what occurred during his arrest. You're rambling about shit that seems unrelated. I don't have those answers.

I agree his "arrest" was a public lynching in my opinion played up by the media worse than Jussie Smollet. But ignoring all context in the case seems more like a tactic of propaganda then genuine journalism. Similar to 9/11.

Well, I have had a fair amount of black friends in my life and they ALL insist very strongly that their experience is very different than mine. I've heard arguments between gay friends and black friends over who has it "worse." So, if someone feels like they're an underprivileged class, then I get that. The issue that comes up for me is when the media and narrative turn completely against any sort of open dialogue.

Fuck MSM for their scummy coverage.

I was just watching the ESPN 30 for 30 about the Duke Lacrosse incident and it actually had some interestingly contrite interviews with press who got who the story wrong. Not that anyone much learns from that -- there's always new press ready to get suckered in again. But still interesting to hear.

also it looked like the cop had his knee over his shoulder not his neck so not sure why that would kill him, likely was about to die anyway from all the drugs and health issues.

Why does it matter?

[–]SomeFaggotFromReddit 9 insightful - 3 fun9 insightful - 2 fun10 insightful - 3 fun -  (14 children)

Cause the media and BLM are making him a martyr. He was a piece of garbage that didn't give a fuck about other people. With that said he shouldn't have been killed but he also shouldn't have people chanting his name in the streets like he was MLK.

Why does the criminal record of this black-pregnant-woman-pistol-whipping felon piece of shit matter?

I dunno.

[–]magnora7 5 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 0 fun6 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Even if he was the worst guy ever, he still should not have died once he was already apprehended... I am not sure why people are so concerned about Geroge Floyd's character when that is not remotely the issue at hand

[–]Phreedom 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, It's irrelevant.

[–]sproketboy 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

I'm not sure this is an important point. More interesting is that the cop had 18 complaints and Amy Klobuchar never prosecuted anything.

[–]joewest1313 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

George Floyd and the cop had beef from the club days they worked together. We don't know if Chauvin was a dirty cop and Floyd was his CI. Given a chance to put his hand on him he may have simply silenced his CI who was going to sell him out for more money and therefore drugs, to the PD. Floyd was known habitual drug addict and felon. The police surely would have leveraged that.

Race had NOTHING to do here. Killing a person for a reason did and Chauvin was betting he would clear the bar on this one.

He bet wrong.

Very fair take. He just didn't count on the video.
