Deficit as such doesn’t matter as much as the debt to GDP ratio. If you increase your deficit while decreasing your debt to GDP ratio then all is good, feel free to carry on.

All that matters to them is enforcing the fiat. That means using military force on other countries to use the dollar as the worlds currency reserve. As BRIC countries turn away and dedolarize, multilateralism will take over and with it the European energy market. Likely, an Isolationist policy will lead to this outcome, which can be achieved if we work out a bank system that is headed by state treasuries rather than an incorporated central bank.
