They are just another gang using violence to enforce their beliefs.

We’ll enforce it [Sharia] on Muslims first then on non-Muslims. We’re going to enforce both Sharia law and American law. It would be contradictory to enforce Sharia law without also upholding the laws of the land.

The real contradiction here is that Sharia law and American law can be compatible. I am fine with people believing and practicing whatever they like, as long as they don't violate anyone else rights. Clearly though Sharia law does not apply though, as it allows the death penalty for anyone criticizing Islam, the Quran or Mohammad, allows no rights to women, and is altogether draconian and cruel.
