Solo travel really is the best way to go when you're abroad. I know, it's good to have a companion but you will meet so many more people solo. The possibilities are infinite.

Right, now imagine you're a woman.

Just don't visit ghettos like Paris?

Good points both. I usually travel with my wife so avoid situations like Jet is talking about. Our travel is now limited to Asia and have to say it is generally safer—IMO—than S. Europe where I know we were being sized up for a robbery a few times. Be especially careful on long train trips with your bags on the overhead rack. Once it got so bad I went into a hardware store and got a length of light chain and a padlock. In Asia don't accept food from people on trains. It's hard but say you just ate a big meal. There might be sleeping pills in the food and you wake up and your bags are gone. That happened to a few people I know. Back to what Jet said: We know a particularly handsome couple who lived in India a few years where he was working. In either India or Pakistan they were in a situation with a group of local men and the atmosphere took on a heavy sexual vibe. Long story short, it was the male of the couple the men wanted, not the wife. We have to be careful everywhere nowadays but will we ever be able to travel abroad again? Last idea tacked on at the end: If you're a woman do not travel alone by train in S. Asia, find a couple or a lone man who is willing to pretend to be your husband. On a train, being alone is not really dangerous but you will be pestered to death.

I'd never travel alone. I don't seek out meeting new people in person, and for me traveling is an adventure that's better shared and free of potential rape.

Well, thank you. For women traveling alone, it's fairly easy to find another woman to accompany you on a train trip. You could even make a little sign to flash around on the train platform. I always pictured you as a very openminded young man who likes emoji but that shows how much I know.

4/20 and you should be zoned out. Where is your patriotism? https://torrentproject.to/?s=Bombing&page=3
If anything I said sounds sarcastic, or anti-woman, it was not intended that way. I am now, and have always been, a lover of women, especially those like you—openminded, I mean.
