I didn't believe that table they have (especially because the reference links on it are a year old), and the WHO's article for it is returning a server error, but this https://www.statista.com/statistics/1092918/china-wuhan-coronavirus-2019ncov-confirmed-and-deceased-number/ agrees that their official mainland death count is under 5000.
All those people dropping dead on the street, body-bagged out of tent hospitals, and being welded into their hovels, and under 5000 died? Okay.
