Nabble is a forum platform I wrote 20 years ago and have mostly ignored for the last 10 years. It isn't social so it has no future. And I wrote it before I had read the Old Testament which radically improved my programming, so the code isn't great. But it still has much more traffic than SaidIt. It includes mailing list archiving which is used by many open source projects.

Anyway, I ignored it as long as ads from Google AdSense covered the cost. This is no longer the case. Google is increasingly incompetent and they disallow ads for various imaginary problems. So Nabble isn't worth the hassle and I will mostly shut it down. I guess I kept Nabble running as a public service. But now that I hate humanity, why should I provide any public service? These days I actually get much more satisfaction from screwing people over than I do from providing a useful service.

One other reason I kept Nabble going is that I thought someone would come forward to work with me on a Reddit alternative. Then I could migrate Nabble forums there, so it would start off with a bigger user base than SaidIt has now. But obviously this won't happen since humanity is now pure scum and no one is willing to do anything of value.
