I got a permaban on reddit for linking empirical data showing that 98% of monkeypox cases were transmitted by gay men.

Yep, I think I caught a ban for that too, but had it reversed. I forget what I responded with, exactly, but it was something about the disease isn't discriminating, and that they were essentially "putting words in my mouth".

Reddit has some of the stupidest people. They seem to think that if a fact makes them unhappy, if they scrub all mentions of it, ban any party who brings it to light, and make up some other fairy-tale story, that it will become true.
