About 2% of workers earn at or below the minimum wage. It's a higher percentage in places like Louisiana or Mississippi, but vanishingly rare anywhere in the northeast or west coast.

People should be far more concerned about the eroding median wage, and suppressing the people with the poorest bargaining position won't alter that. That turnip has been thoroughly wrung.
