Few stop to ask, Lord, what have I done? Neither do they repent for their sins. But they turn to a man for help, who is only like themselves with his own problems. Any who repent and ask Jesus for mercy shall receive it.

Here is a video of a car dealership and a couple more testimonies from the Texas hail storm.

Why do you think the lord chooses to hit red states with overwhelmingly Christian majorities like Texas and Florida the hardest?

Is he testing believers?

Have they strayed from the path? Surely San Francisco is more deserving. Why don't they get an earthquake or something?

Your questions seem reasonable to ask.

No place is exempt from receiving their due reward. According to numerous prophecies, California will have a mega-quake that will cause it to fall into the sea. The judgements are for everyone: unbelievers and believers, for the sins they cling to. Believers may be judged even more severely, because they had the scriptures, and knew what they were supposed to do, and yet they rebelled against God and continued in disobedience.

My house in Arkansas also was hit with monster hail this year. We had to construct a new roof and fix windows in the cars. I believe in Jesus and try to stay in repentance, but when the storm hit, there were two people living in my house who still had not repented. Even though I have repented, I have sinned like everyone else, and so I also deserve whatever the Lord sends my way. But I was not hurt.

The material possessions that get damaged cannot go with us into the spirit realm. And we all have to leave these temporary bodies sooner than most think. The judgements are sent by God to help people see their need for him, to turn away from evil and choose what is good, to call on the Savior Jesus so they can be saved before their short life here is over and they enter the spirit realm.

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1 Peter 4:17

Haha. I mean they just had Folsom Street Fair yesterday. It doesn't get more Sodom and Gomorrah than that.
