Your graph does not prove your claim. First off GDP is gossely manipulated for political reasons. This graph of home prices demonstrates two of the ways in which that happens. One is the inflation which drives a large portion of home price increases. As you can see inflation over this time period is absurd. Home prices have gone up 6 fold in the same period.

The second factor is that the basket of goods used to calculate GDP includes things like home sales. No new product was produced when a home is sold. Yet the massively more expensive home prices ars jacking up GDP even if fewer homes are sold.

This isn't related to Ngo's lies. If you think he's not lying, locate evidence of GDP decline in Portland. You won't find it because the GDP naturally improved after COVID.
