I think this is a good point. They are planning to fail. Briar patching.

I don't think they're necessarily planning to fail per se; I think they've simply chosen a set of priorities that make failure a very likely outcome, and then they have a philosophical basis that tells them that failure is never their fault, always someone else's and that this means they're somehow a 'victim', and as such are now entitled to gimmes.

In many ways, wokeness is like a religion, because it follows all the sorts of magical thinking that it takes to believe that incorporeal beings made the world and decide our fates; wokeness is the manifestation of Nietzsche's worst fear: in the wake of older, defanged faiths losing prominence in society, newer faiths would rise up to take their place, and they'd be like the Old Testament god that was demanding human sacrifice and throwing people into pits of hellfire.
