“What I’ve seen brings me back to my personal story. I am a son of migrant workers. My parents were working very very hard in difficult situations.”

Chutzpah says it all.

For those wondering, his surname is Infantino.

The article doesn't make clear what side his rant was about (it's from CNN, so...), but it seems he was essentially calling out western nations from trying to shove their woke bullshit down the world's throat in what is essentially just another form of colonialism.

I mean killing 6000 people is not really just a woke concern.

Yeah the banning booze or whatever isn't really the concern it's just stupid for FIFA to take the World Cup with all it's alcohol sponsorships to a country where drinking is illegal.

The criminalizing of gay people is more concerning but even then it's a simple case of don't do gay shit while visiting. It's not like straight people get a pass on Islamic morality laws concerning sex either and they manage fine.

The real problem is the (quasi) slavery.

It should underline for you how overdetermined and specifically antiWestern Critical Theory is that its use on non-Western targets can be dismissed as Imperialism.
