Of course it's fictional. But what do you consider advanced? Areas of the USA have massive ghettos and street shitters. Some cities with more violent crime and gun crime than entire African countries. So advanced is the US that a group of people sued Redbull for not giving them wings and we have to put 'warning, contains nuts' on a packet of peanuts'. I'm not disagreeing as such, but you have to take off those rose tinted spectacles.
