It's not happening. This is a typical reefer madness style scare piece. Notice the patient they are talking about also had ADD medication in system. All ADD meds are amphetamines, which are also known to cause psychosis with abuse.

Weed is known to trigger schizophrenia in the small percentage of people who are predisposed to it, but it's still the safest recreational drug there is.

Weed's been legal for years in CA and medicinal was easy enough to get prior to that. There was no sudden change to society. It's been fine. I go to CO every year. That state is awesome. Having it illegal does far more harm to society by several orders of magnitude. People should be aware that it has risk, but the truth is, it's the least risky recreational drug there is. You know alcohol causes far more problems, but we tried making that illegal, and it didn't work out so well. So yes, we should advise people of the risks, but definitely it should be legal.

No, no sudden changes at all. Go back to sleep and nevermind your username.

That is either killer weed or 37 pussies a day are showing up at the ER.

They're saying that this modern stuff is mostly THC.

~~~
"THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive chemical, or cannabinoid, that causes both the euphoria and the paranoia that tends to accompany marijuana highs. The strongest marijuana flower you can buy is in the range of 25% THC.
The edibles that are sold in dispensaries are created by chemically stripping the THC from the marijuana plant and creating a concentrated THC “wax” that’s typically three times that level. These products also lack CBD, a chemical in natural marijuana that partially counteracts the THC. Even more potent than edibles are “dabs,” a form of THC that users smoke out of vape pens, which can be over 90% THC. At this level of potency, THC can trigger severe symptoms of psychosis in regular users, studies and addiction experts say."
How many of these are just druggies looking for a fix of something?
If one can smoke as much weed as I have and not become psychotic, I'm very skeptical that there's a casual link here.
They always ignore the pharmaceuticals in these cases.
This should be expected in the mental illness capital of the world.
