Perhaps it would help for non-Russians to see examples on RT of what state-controled Russian TV is also broadcasting. Russians watching federal TV have indicated that they believe those channels because:

1) Russian government would not lie to them

2) They don't want to believe that the government would lie to them

One serious problem with the broadcasting of RT in the US: it's obvious that many Americans don't know or care when they're lied to by Fox News, Trump &c.

This is a shame.

The news part was definitely biased to the point it argued against the actual truth you could see with your own eyes at some points.

However in their quest the own the west they did give space to some independent film makers and people whose voices wouldn't have been welcome on the mainstream media otherwise. Certainly on the trans nonsense front they have been very helpful but they also picked up on stuff like sweatshop abuses in Asia etc.
