And this is the premise behind "getting rid of cash". The government can control your funds without you being able to do anything unless you manage to form an alternative community outside of government control.

Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and give to God what is God's. The government can keep their fake money. God surely doesn't want it or need it.

If we worked without money being the reward, the evil rulers would lose control of us. The love of money is the root of all evil.

Jesus said, Love one another. That would be the alternative motive for all work. And then the Lord would fight our battles and the enemy's plans against us would fail.
