Cinnamon Girl is racist and should be banned from the radio. Someone start the petition.

One of his best of the early years. Racist? I've never thought the song was about a black woman because it isn't. But it's let's-pile-on-Neil-Young week so enjoy yourselves.

She's not worthy of a nationality or race, just a color. I donno man I like the song myself.

I never thought of cinnamon as her color but that she was bittersweet and liked a substance then called Brown Sugar but hey, that's all I'll say on that subject, probably. In fact I know nothing about what he said. He's an old guy in his dotage. It is a great song and you can hear the amphetamines right through the music.

Well shit that might explain why the petition isn't going anywhere. Brown Sugar, just like a black girl should.

Yeah, see lots of people sang about Black women and rightly so. Remember those speed licks in that song, just one note, perfectly timed, over and over: a Wire. No hard feelings, bossman. 😜 Cinnamon Girl . Shucks it ain't even about a real girl but a state of mind, stoned. Cowgirl in the Sand — Hey everybody, he's an old man now so cut him some slack. Oh, and he wrote a little song called Four Dead in Ohio I'm not angry with anyone but don't let the media pull your chain like that. Here's another Neil Young song about a woman. Is she black, brown, or what? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SGOlfnTqeM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDyTcDqW7kU

I didn't get it from anywhere, I just imagined a sweet ass Mexican chick who cooks being Cinnamon I guess. Or a native american. Yes we owe the moderately anti-war Neil and CSNY lots of credit. I'm just fucking pissed about Neil trashing his reputation for Fauci.

I didn't get the Fraudci part. Anyway, my bout of righteous indignation has burned itself out. Now back to our regular programming. Here's a picture in apology. I call it Dr. Dementia Goes for a Walk: https://files.catbox.moe/181haq.JPG

East Coast drug use in the 60's...I was there. Heroin was called "CINNAMON" period....No guessing. When the song came out, we all knew what it was about "HEROIN" period. Just listen to the words in the song. Had nothing to do with tanned, or Asian girls. Otherwise, the song would have had references to sex in it. All rock songs in that era, that expressed desire in women, had sexual content. They were either written about Drugs, The Road, Sex, or all of the above. However this song was definitely about "DRUGS" period.
