There have been cases of panic treatments before, like for cancer or AIDS for example. Just compare the draconian treatments cancer patients received in the 1970 and 80s with how theyre treated today. In the early days of AIDS the early AIDS medications proabably killed the majority of AIDS victims. Some say that the worst symptoms were actually caused by the AIDS medications and not by the disease itself. And even today many old people die in some way from the long-term side-effects of their medications. My father died this year and although I cant be sure I suspect he could have lived longer without the shitload of pills he took each day. In the years before his death there had been several instances of health issues that only vanished after he stopped taking some of his pills. Im 60+ and Im now healthier than ever before, and one of the reasons for that is that I avoid the doctor as long as humanly possible. Of course sometimes theyre the only choice but in most cases you get better without any help or the doctor cant do shit anyway because except for a diagnosis there is no known treatment for your disease.

The worst role in all of this play the media who are heavily sponsored by big pharma. Old people are addicted to TV and all other kinds of media entertainment, so the media make a big buck just by scaring the old and the gullible out of their minds. My mother died a long time ago, and in my opinion the cause of death was media addiction. She was obsessed with anything about cancer, and as a result she obsessively checked herself for lumps all day long. Until she got cancer and died a slow and horrible death. Back then I swore to myself to never become a slave of the media or the medical machine. Both my siblings have gotten cancer later in their lives, Im the only one who didnt. Although I wouldnt know anyway because I never get checked.

So I would add another hypothesis to the first one: Consuming mainstream media reduces your life expectancy by at least 5 years, and double that during the COVID mass psychosis.
