This explains a bit more clearly what ultra processed food is. https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/articles/what_is_ultra-processed_food

It sounds terrible but most bread, breakfast cereals and sausages will fall under this bracket so it's not just the obviously junk food.

More than 30 percent of young people aged 17 to 24 no longer qualify for U.S. military service because of their weight.

There goes the neighborhood.

There goes the neighborhood.

That neighborhood isn't going anywhere.

You just can't see them, because they live in their parent's basements.

There are tons of obese people in the workforce. Obesity is just a normal part of life in the US. In fact I'd bet the average NEET is healthier than the average working american. People aren't just obese due to sedentary lifestyles. They are obese for a number of reasons. The main one being an attack on our endocrine systems.

I don't completely disagree.

However, people are certainly less active than in the past.
School buses pick up most children.
Or they are dropped off.
Fast food is a regular part of most people's diets. Plastics and packaging materials contribute to the endocrine disrupting, plus phenol phalades in soft rubberized toys for young children. Sugar added to everything.

Most people copy their neighbors activities to and tell themselves it's normal.

It's been normalized by the same cabal that is now depopulating the planet.

They've hijacked medicine, and doctors no longer have a clue about nutrition, and diet.

It's a sustained assault against the pubic. Most never recognize that some group is as war with their personal health.

It's time for people to start having the eyes to see, and to take back their own sense of agency.

Everyone needs a kick in the butt, so they beging to address one's own health needs.

We are at a crossroads, and they are actively shutting down the food supply chain.

The shelves are emptying.

Nobody is coming to save us.

A recent study showed that only 12% of the US population is metabolically healthy.

Yep - and selling the good food (eg. wild salmon, tuna, &c) to other countries, which pay more for it. People need a higher minimum wage and access to the best food in the US, as well as clean water.

Not a higher minimum wage, but a livable wage tied to inflation.

Not a higher minimum wage, but a livable wage tied to inflation.

why not just give to every person in the world a guaranteed personal income of two million dollars per day and also include $800.00 per day in food stamps which may also be used to purchase alcohol and street drugs and may be used to pay for the services of sex workers.

AND I WANNA BE A JANITOR AT MCDONALDS HAMBURGER PALACE THAT GETS PAID $40,000.00 PER HOUR GUARANTEED MINIMUM WAGE (ONE HAMBURGER COMBO COST = $6,250,500.99)

bringing back america great~BIDEN/HARRIS

[–]Jesus 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Why not just give to every person in America a guaranteed personal income that is livable and incentivizes the family unit? Can't have that because then predatory finance and supremacist Jews wouldn't have much usury points to play with. Janitors are hard workers, usurious predatory finance and meme jobs on wallstreet are not.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Which would be a higher minimum wage, specially if 'livable' means that one should be able to afford a house, and afford to pay for a live-at-home spouse and at least 2 or 3 children, two cars, and an annual month-long vacation to anywhere in the world. Some of this was possible in the US in the '50s and '60s, though many people had mortgages.

Socks. What are you thoughts on 'sound money' i.e. the problem with excess printing of money (currency devaluation). What's the point of minimum wage increases if people can't buy more goods because inflation outpaces the increase?

[–]H3v8 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

This is a general trend in the West because people have forgotten how to cook.

[–]Brewdabier 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Much of what's described I've been eating all my life, bread, cold cuts, cheese however our bread goes bad within 4-5 days and cold cuts are made of meat, spices and seasonings and not a gram of sugar, flavourings, sweeteners, preservatives, stabilisers or colourings. But then I'm not American and I know how to cook

[–]OeeThaGreat 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (2 children)

I work in the American restaurant industry, and I am astonished at how many people don't know how to cook. Some people literally order multiple times a week from my store alone.

This one dude will order delivery multiple times a day, sometimes just a couple of sodas because he is to lazy to walk over to the convenience store that is a block away.

[–]Brewdabier 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

the convenience store that is a block away.

I really use my car and walk or ride bicycle everywhere, my bank, pharmacist and market is a mile away. America use to be like Germany long ago but the auto industry made them lazy.

Tell him he's a lazy piece of shit and stop enabling him.

I'm not living a diet that I'd recommend but what's crazy to me is how much better my shit diet is compared to the masses.

I know I'm living a less than good but sometimes barely life and when it's compared to others.... I should be mocked not looked up to. This place is fucked.

I ate processed foods last night and I liked it. I loved it. Why back in my day that was all we had to eat or we just starved.

[–]jet199 5 insightful - 4 fun5 insightful - 3 fun6 insightful - 4 fun -  (3 children)

Processed food costs more.

That's why they make it.

Every process adds extra value to the product.

[–]Noam_Chomsky 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Yeah. But they also manipulate the fresh food market.

The quality of available fresh vegetables largely depends on where one lives.

Also, I've noticed they're selling busted up produce in premium markets.

Another grand solar minimum is upon us, and the typical growing regions are expected up shrink.

Empires often fall during these events.

They're leveraging this crisis to shoehorn multiple agendas through, and retain power.

A significant factor forcing the economic paradigm shift.

[–]jet199 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

The quality of available fresh vegetables largely depends on where one lives.

The availability of the same fresh veg all year round is a completely modern phenomenon. You don't need to eat that way stay healthy. The veg available should change from place to place and season to season.

Also, I've noticed they're selling busted up produce in premium markets.

Again the idea that fruit and veg need to look lovely is a modern one. It's not necessary and creates huge amounts of food waste.

I don't disagree with any of your points.

I'm just recognizing the geo-demographic reality, and suggesting that the rest of the world is also seeing degraded food on previously pristine shelves.

You and I saw this coming years ago, and I have no doubts we'll make it to the other side.

The availability of the same fresh veg all year round is a completely modern phenomenon. You don't need to eat that way stay healthy. The veg available should change from place to place and season to season.

This understanding cannot be over emphasized.

The new normal requires adjusted expectations.

Covid or not, the grand solar minimum is here, and many crops will fail.

I mean what else Americans can buy from huge ass retailers and shopping malls? Like at least here I can go buy local produce from people who've grown them in the land I live and if anything I know a hunter, I can fish, so at least I've got that figured. At this point everyone needs to know a farmer, hunter, fisherman and so on to buy some normal food for Christs sake.

[–]jet199 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Just buy the basics. It really isn't hard.

I don't know if it works in the US but I have friends who only go around the edge of the supermarket because it's down the aisles you get all the processed food.

[–]send_nasty_stuff 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Processed foods are a problem. However, the real issue is regulatory, academic and medical capture. When people try to lose weight and get healthy they are given almost the opposite advice. The real truth gets locked up, obscured and kept away from the populace. Why? There's an active war by elites on the human population. They want population reduction and 'aggression' reduction at all costs. It's not in the interests of elites to have healthy, fertile virulent citizens. Especially not in the west.
