It's true, many of my friends (men and women in their 50's) have gone downhill health-wise since the lockdowns began. It's not so much being trapped and unable to exercise, here in Australia we have always had personal freedom to go out and about, and with people at home for months there was a perfect opportunity to get out and get fit. No it's some kind of psychological barrier that is inhibiting them.
I know because my own fitness has fallen off, I don't cycle very often now whereas the conditions are perfect. For some strange reason I just find it really hard to get out? I'm not afraid, I think I'm just using the lockdowns and all that as an excuse to be, well Lazy, if that makes any sense.
