I live in a shitty democrat ruled city and agree with you. I need to get out of here asap but of course the lockdown has caged me in.

No, more because of the travel restrictions and not being paid enough in a blue state.

not sure why it's not like you literally can't drive to another state, but I get that it is hard to get a new job right now

But I also have to save up money to cover things like a deposit and rent, food, etc. More would be needed as backup if the job search takes longer instead of if I secured one by the time I arrive. Isn’t this what people usually do when they leave to somewhere? There is a lot more that moving entails then just picking yourself up and moving somewhere else.

Unfortunately I live in a place where the cost of living is outrageously expensive for what you get but I’m storing away money to prepare myself for a move once the lease is over.

so get to saving, should have already had a rainy day fund saved up
