Some of us are vaccine safety advocates, not anti-vaxxers. How is making sure things are safe retarded?

Exactly this. There are people who got really sick because of vaccines and some didn't ever recover. In some cases, doctors claimed it was because of the mercury content of the vaccine. And instead of openly discussing what is going on and making vaccines safer, they prefer to deny even the right to question what is going on.

You should always have a right to question what is going on. You should not always have the right to participate in a society that views your lack of vaccination as a threat.

More often than not, I find the people questioning the safety of vaccines in the United States are hopelessly confused and incapable of weighing the risks on their own. It is a symptom of an embarrassingly poor educational system and a government run by corporations. Incredibly sad imo.
