I keep going back to the whole gender dysphoria thing. Wouldn't it be better for all if a treatment (I'm thinking gene treatment) were found that could stop the dysphoria so that the person no longer feels they're in the wrong body rather than just surrendering to the dysphoria? I think that would be a lot less invasive than mutilating your body just to go along with what is basically a delusion over your own sex.
