When I first decided to convert my built 454 to fuel injection using my own custom controlling circuitry I saw you could get an IC chip from Bosch that controlled the wide band O2 sensors. But I later found that finding a true Bosch chip was impossible, at least at that the time I looked. They were all China knock off chips. Would you put all the money and work into your race engine and then trust it to a China knock off chip? On top of that the real chip is horrible, so compound that with being a knock off of a bad chip to start with.
I painstakingly back engineered the chip which used too many points of switching and had to accommodate for all the leakage. Also the accuracy and temperature drift was not something you would want on a hot drag strip.
Here is the circuit board I designed for my custom dual O2 controller. I did make a mistake or 2 on the PCB design and am only populating for one sensor for now for testing. I'm down to adding a couple resistors and caps around the op amps and DAC. And I have been working diligently on the coding lately. (ESP32 dev board goes over the micro SD slot) https://i.imgur.com/PTcEL5T.jpg
I'm putting this on my little crappy car for testing and converting the reading to output the correct signal for a non-wide band O2 it is made for. All the info and data logging will be wifi to a Processing program I am writing for laptop/android. I had lost my template code for this and had to go from fresh running into many problems along the way. But I have finally got the code for data transfers figured out recently.
It's way to much to type here. I'm not a youtuber or the best at explaining such a large subject but I did make a video trying to explain in full everything about the chip and circuit with all the links in the description. Feel free to ask questions on the workings of the system or circuit if I don't explain it clear enough. https://youtu.be/Wp8qLaIafCg?si=hAJIgz9czNXWTRqq
This is the engine that is going in the Firebird. I drove it carborated in this truck for almost 3 years as a daily driver LOL. . 454 30 over, +30cc pistons, comp mutha thumper cam exc... should be about 525 tq and somewhere around 475 hp limited by the ported stock heads. (With sound) https://youtu.be/jzbpf-MuT0I?si=ojUM7EVMjvAKakNt
And this is the 1988 true numbers Firebird the engine is already sitting in. And yes I have a new fender and a good used bumper for it. https://i.imgur.com/HivVgXN.png
there doesn't seem to be anything here
