Successfully reproducing and continuing on is itself illogical. Life, when looked at honestly, is a net negative for most. Some if not most people experience nothing but hardship their entire lives. It could even be considered heartless to birth more innocent souls into this world. But the vast majority are zealous to preserve their lives and produce more lives almost entirely because of instinct.
