If I take a huge dump in your toilet then I'd be tresspassing.

But if I stay at home and stress my own plumbing, then it's not a war crime

Not sure why you'd find this difficult, it's probably a performance

If you really thought that was true, you would have pressed it yourself

Nah, I prefer to warn others who may not know about what this account is and what it does.

It doesn't even bother to deny any more.

It puts the lotion on its skin

Speaking of trolls, who did socks come back as?

Wow, haven't seen this one for a while. So I guess in your back-end you have a wiki on all the Saidit users. I would love to see my page.

I don't remember tagging being a thing on saidit, and haven't seen any tags. I just remember you as a prolific poster, often tech oriented. If you had particular political opinions, I don't remember those.

There are still users I recognize, but seems like there's been a flood of reddit 'gender types' in my absence.

It's OK when we do it.

When a war has already started, how exactly can you still be war mongering?

If the US said "Poland, why aren't you joining? Are you a pussy?", now that would be war mongering.

As such, your logic is just wrong.

noun: war-mongering

encouragement or advocacy of aggression towards other countries or groups.

Perhaps you're conflating war-mongering with instigation. If the aim is escalation instead of de-escalation, I'd say it's still considered war-mongering. You can still be a war-mongerer after a war has started if you encourage or advocate violence against the opposition, based on the definition.

Besides, the point of the post was clearly not related to the use of the word war-mongerer, but the hypocrisy of those in power who would use a type of weapon, whoch they previously condemned and cited as an excuse to prolonge the conflict.

The aim is to allow a country to defend itself, which is not war-mongering.

Also, if the US were war-mongering, Russia would be known as New Glass already.

The US profits from military interference, they will have no interest in bringing a quick end to the conflict.

That was not what was under discussion.

Even then, Russia could really ruin the US's day by retreating in the next 10 minutes to their own borders according to your logic. Fact remains that as long as a single Russian is in Ukraine, Russia is the war-monger.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I haven't suggested that Russia isn't a war-mongerer. But to suggest that the US is not, is simply incorrect. The US loves war, especially avoidable ones.

The US doesn't like war with a nuclear power, but doesn't mind weakening their adversaries without it costing them lives. Countries substantially weaker than the US without nukes are their bitches, which unfortunately Europe still doesn't get.

How can you ever negotiate a fair trade deal when "or we will turn you into dust" is at the end of every sentence despite them not saying it out loud?

Every nation is an asshole, because if they aren't, another nation will invade them. Some nations are just better at being assholes than others.

Oh look, another sus poster defending the powerful again.

I've got an idea: let's join on the side of literal war criminals! After they've already said that what they're about to do is a war crime!
