No it isnt. The more contagious a disease the less deadly, typically. If the delta variety shows zero signs of being deadly to the general populace.

You're absolutely right, too deadly and the disease kills the hosts before it has a chance to spread.

I wouldn't worry about the delta variant of covid, or any covid really, if you're under 40 and in okay health. That doesn't apply to everyone here though.
