Women are worse off now than they were 100 years ago.

Although the "pro-woman" side of politics will tell you things are great even though it's becoming typical for women to be STD-infected single mothers to 5 mix race kids. Wow, so great.

Before they served their family (like their ancestors did for thousands of years) and now they are slaves in the work force, serving their capitalist masters.

Feminism and capitalism are two sides of the same coin. Nothing has made the rich richer than women entering the workforce.

The "pro-woman" and feminist side of politics has no problem with abusing, brutalizing, harassing, demoralizing, and sodomizing women - as long as it's done on camera and for profit. The irony.

Those "families" were perfectly fine with

abusing, brutalizing, harassing, demoralizing, and sodomizing women

At least the "capitalist masters" paid women actual money.

Right? Curse feminism for letting me get a technical education and hold a job that pays well enough for me to comfortably support myself, save for the future, and not be dependent on anyone! What agony having to choose what man to date only on the criteria of whether I like the guy as a person and enjoy spending time with him! What pain knowing that if a man I'm in a relationship with decides to hit me, I can walk away and not be left in poverty!

Women were not prohibited from attaining a technical education. While women's rights movement helped to ensure equal employment opportunity, what feminism has mutated into now is far from its stated and already achieved goals.

That's kind of a non sequitur, the thread is about whether 100 years of feminism have on balance made women's lives better, and I'm saying the answer is yes. Whether third-wave feminism has jumped the shark is a different question.* And I didn't say women were absolutely prohibited from a technical education in 1920, but I sure like our odds better in 2020.

*For the record, my feelings about it are mixed. I'm over here instead of on reddit because, for example, I think all the gender stuff is completely ass-backwards.

Well you're passing up the chance to be sold married off to the first man your father finds acceptable and the opportunity to be raped by said mystery man with impunity. So, y'know, you really gotta weigh your options here. You wanna get an education and a job? Or you wanna be some guy's (sex) slave?
