this was a proper way to remake a movie. amplified the creepiness and gore factor but also remained to the original theme.

Nothing can ever replace the original in my heart. This remake was a very good supernatural horror movie though. There's just no way to recapture the magic of having Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi at those early stages of their careers.
