A lot of people here use Catbox. Imgchest.com is another that seems pretty good.

The problem with Imgur is that they are trying very, very hard to turn themselves into more than just a free disk drive for random internet people, and it detracts from that original mission and is really grating. No, Imgur, you are not the next social media sensation.

They hijack the back button to keep you on their site... who the fuck falls for that? Well, I guess the comments people post on the little "feed" they kidnap you into mostly answer that question- idiots.

I used to host images on Dropbox until they tried something similar maybe 5 years ago. It pissed me off to the point that I got my own (rented, cloud) web server, static IP, domain names, etc. and I recommend that if you've got any computer skills whatsoever. Anyone who lets people host things for free is liable to turn evil.
