the excuse is that more gas will keep the bags inflated enough to prevent crushing the delicate chips. i think, as long as we pay by weight, it should be okay, except that trucking around all that empty space causes more pollution.

    same here. i just bake potatoes. about 3-4mm thickness is ideal. in duck fat :-)
